On 17th of November the club held it's annual AGM at Lynette Lindsay's home and it was a warm and sunny day and just right for the garden setting.
The committee was re-elected without vote and the president, Ian Greaves, reported on the clubs activities during the year including many car runs to places of interest followed by a lunch, which is a popular formula. We tried a mystery run with clues which led to a good restaurant for lunch which was successful though only ten cars took part.
Breakfast with the cars, organised by Brian and Joan Hepburn is drawing cars from all over region and the numbers are growing with sometimes over a hundred cars. The financial report, given by Angela Young, showed that we broke even with increased expenditure and we voted to increase the annual subscription to $40 a couple. Membership is growing steadily, which is encouraging and Bruce and Angela Ussher were made life members for the sterling work that they have done for the club.
We all enjoyed an excellent barbecue in the sunshine and good company.
The BOI Classic and Sports Car Club is a friendly group of car enthusiasts who organise a casual event every month to places of interest and frequently with a lunch somewhere.
